Assessment for Children and Adolescents

Is your child struggling in school? An evaluation of issues such as ADHD, Learning Disorder, or other mood or anxiety disorder can be helpful in identifying treatment options and accommodations to support your child's academic, social, behavioral, and emotional functioning.

Here are a few helpful questions to consider prior to calling or scheduling:

  • Does your child have difficulty paying attention, sitting still, staying organized?

  • How are they performing in their classes?

  • Do you worry about their reading, writing, or mathematical skills relative to their peers and education level?

  • Are there specific behaviors or emotional difficulties that you are concerned about?

Assessment for College Students and Adults

Are you struggling with college coursework and feel like you are not performing at your potential? Have you noticed that you lose items at home and are constantly running late to work and other events? You may also benefit from evaluation for the presence of attentional, learning, or other social/emotional issues.

Here are a few helpful questions to consider prior to calling or scheduling:

  • Do you have difficulty following conversations?

  • Do you struggle to retain information, losing track of what you just heard or read?

  • Have you noticed that you misplace or lose common and important items, such as you keys, phone, or wallet?

  • Do you feel like you are falling behind on tasks at work or in school?

  • Have you ever had people comment that you seem out of it or that you don't pay attention?

Fees for Specific Evaluations

The following is a list of fees for each type of assessment. This fee structure is based on the number of hours that I commit to administration of test items, scoring, interpreting, and preparing results, and writing reports as well as the time allotted for testing sessions and the feedback session. I do not bill insurance, but am happy to provide you with an invoice (aka superbill) to submit to your insurance company for potential partial reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance company prior to scheduling in order to determine if they are willing to reimburse for any testing and to have more information about total out-of-pocket costs to you.
